Caer Caradoc

Process:

Our Caer Caradoc cheese is based on a Caerphilly style of cheese which is matured for two to three months creating light and crumbly with a fresh lemon taste.

Why Caer Caradoc?:

Named after the prominent Shropshire hill. Legend has it that this was the site of the last stand of Caratacus against the Roman Legions during their conquest of Britain, and that after the battle he hid in the cave near its summit.

Texture: Crumbly

Taste: Mild, fresh

Origin: Raw cows milk

Colour: White, pale yellow just under the natural rind
